Belarusian Ihar Boki Wins His FIFTH Medal At Rio Paralympics

In the men’s S13 50M Freestyle, world record holder Ihar Boki of Belarus set a new Paralympic record with a time of 23.44. This is his fourth gold and fifth medal at Rio Paralympics.


The Belarusian updated the record he had set a few hours earlier during the preliminary competitions. The world record for the Paralympics (23.20), set by Ihar in 2015 in Glasgow remained unsurpassed.

Four years ago in London, the athlete won silver in the same discipline.

22-year-old Ihar Boki has already won 11 Paralympic medals. He brought 5 gold and 1 silver medal from London in 2012, while his medal collection from Rio counts five awards fo far.
