Belarusian Vanessa Kolodinskaya won gold at the 2017 World Wrestling Championships in Paris, BelTA informs.
In the final fight Vanessa Kolodinskaya took over Japanese Maya Mikada. During the wrestling the Belarusian was losing with the score 0: 6, and two seconds before the final siren she managed to reach 4: 6. However the Belarusian managed to make a spectacular maneuver that led her to a bright victory with 8: 6 score.

Apart from Maya Mikada, in the women’s -53 kg championship Vanessa also defeated Iulia Leorda of Moldova, Maria Prevolaraki of Greece, Estera Dobre of Romania to get the champion title.
She has brought the first gold to Belarus at this sport forum.
Besides, Vanessa Kolodinskaya finished first at the European Wrestling Championships in Serbia this season. She also holds the champion title of the 2012 World Wrestling Championships.
Belarus has so far won four medals in Paris.
