A full-dress rehearsal for the Independence Day military parade took place in Minsk on Saturday, 23 June.
The second rehearsal is scheduled for 28 June.
The military parade that will take place on 3 July is to mark Belarus’ Independence Day.
It will feature about 3,200 servicemen and more than 260 units of military hardware.
Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus is a public holiday, which is celebrated each year on July 3.
July 3, 1944 was also the liberation of Minsk from the Wehrmacht during the Minsk Offensive.
The main event of Independence Day is a solemn military parade.
After the official part, the holiday social events start.
Throughout the country celebrations and festivities are held. In the evening in Minsk fireworks are arranged.
A series of concerts are held in cities and towns, with a special emphasis on the Belarusian identity.
