Belarus Plans To Attract Chinese Investment For 22 Companies

Belarus wants to attract Chinese investment to 22 state enterprises. The terms and procedures of acquiring a share in Belarusian companies will be discussed during the visit of a Belarusian delegation headed by  the Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky to the People’s Republic of China on 8-14 April.

The pilot list of Belarusian companies was drawn up in early 2017. It was submitted to the Chinese side for consideration in February.

The list includes 22 Belarusian enterprises – Horizont, Gomselmash, BATE, Minsk Tractor Works among them.

A report on cooperation of companies of the two countries will be presented by the Belarusian side at the meeting of Belarus-China intergovernmental committee on cooperation. The parties will review the status of the work on the pilot list of Belarusian companies with preliminary conditions for Chinese investment in them.

The Belarusian delegation will also take part in the 9th meeting of the working group on the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.

The parties plan to discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation in investment and finance, trade and production.
